One important thing that I learned from Blogging to the Bank, amongst a ton of other things, is how much “On Page” SEO means to Google’s search results. What Rob means when he talks about “On Page” SEO is optimization that you do right on your own site, not about getting back links and social bookmarks, this has got to do with things on your own blog.
The first and most important things are the domain name and title. The main keyword phrase must be in the domain name and in the title of the page/post. Why? Do yourself a favor and do a search on Google for pretty much any keyword phrase. See the results? Look at how many of those results have the keyword in the domain name and in the title. Google loves that, and using simple but often overlooked techniques like these will ensure that you get the most possible search engine traffic possible.
Other on page techniques that I learned from Blogging to the Bank is keyword density and related keywords. Rob teaches you how to analyze your blog posts and pages to make sure that you neither use too few or too many keywords on each page. Using related keywords are also a great plus for Google traffic. Rob shows you a great technique with a free tool that you can use to get the best possible related keywords that Google will give you extra juice for using. Many of these techniques I simply didn’t think of before I bought Blogging to the Bank, which is most definitely the reason why I was making no money. Thankfully, all that is a thing of the past.
